Why Choose Us
What learning with us actually looks like
Our workshops are built differently from most financial education options โ in ways that matter to adults in mid-life who have real obligations and limited time.
โ Back to HomeCore Advantages
Six things that distinguish our approach
Intimate Group Sizes
No more than ten people per cohort. This makes it possible to answer genuine questions, adjust the pace, and ensure no participant feels lost or left behind.
Locally Grounded Content
Our programs are built for Thailand. Tax content reflects actual Thai Revenue Department rules. Examples use Thai baht, Thai institutions, and northern Thai context where relevant.
Tools You Keep and Use
Every workshop includes printed and digital workbooks, calculation templates, and reference guides. Participants leave with materials that continue to be useful long after the sessions conclude.
A Genuinely Private Space
Sessions begin with a mutual privacy agreement. Facilitators do not share individual circumstances. Participants are never required to disclose specific financial figures.
A Pace That Suits Adults
We do not rush through material. Sessions allow time for reflection, questions, and working through exercises at a comfortable pace. Adults learn differently from students in formal education.
Follow-Up Support
Selected programs include quarterly check-in sessions after the main workshop cycle. Alumni have access to group Q&A sessions throughout the year.
Expertise
Educators with genuine depth in their subject
Our facilitators do not come from marketing or sales backgrounds. Kannika Wattana brings academic training in economics alongside years of community education practice. Prayuth Charoensuk spent fifteen years inside Thai revenue administration before joining us.
This means the knowledge shared in our workshops comes from people who have worked directly with the material โ not from a generic curriculum created elsewhere and adapted for Thailand.
- Thai Revenue Department-verified tax content
- Adult education methodology, not classroom instruction
- Materials updated each fiscal year
Professional Expertise Benefit
When you join a Boon Wattana workshop, you are learning from educators who understand both the subject and the particular challenges of adult learners. The combination produces a different quality of session.
Technology & Process Benefit
We use a structured, iterative program design โ reviewing participant outcomes after every cohort and adjusting content accordingly. What we teach has been shaped by hundreds of participant conversations.
Process & Method
Programs that have been refined through real use
Our curriculum is not static. After each cohort, facilitators review participant feedback in detail. Where questions were common, explanations are expanded. Where material was less relevant, it is adjusted or removed.
This continuous review process means that by the time you join a Boon Wattana workshop, you are benefitting from everything that participants before you have taught us about how to present the material well.
Customer Service
Attention before, during, and after your workshop
From the first enquiry through to post-workshop follow-up, Boon Wattana participants receive attentive, personal support. Our program coordinator Lalita manages this experience for every cohort.
- Personal response to every enquiry within one business day
- Participant check-in between sessions
- Alumni access to quarterly group Q&A
Service Excellence Benefit
Questions are answered thoughtfully and without jargon. There is no pressure to commit to additional services. Our goal is that each participant feels well-supported throughout their learning experience.
How We Compare
A different kind of financial education
Most financial education in Thailand is either too general, too focused on selling products, or designed for younger audiences. Here is how Boon Wattana differs.

|---|---|---|
| Group size | 20โ50 participants | 6โ10 participants |
| Designed for 40+ adults | ||
| Thai tax law coverage | ||
| Product-free (no financial products sold) | ||
| Take-home workbooks and templates | Occasional handout | |
| Post-workshop follow-up support | ||
| Confidentiality protocols | Not standard | |
| Bilingual delivery (EN / TH) |
What Sets Us Apart
Distinctly different, by design
No financial products. Ever.
Boon Wattana does not partner with banks, insurance companies, or investment platforms. We have no financial incentive to recommend any particular product or provider. Our income comes solely from workshop fees.
Built for northern Thailand
Our programs reflect the financial realities of adults living and working in Chiang Mai and northern Thailand โ not generic content imported from elsewhere and lightly adapted.
Updated annually, not once
Tax law changes. Financial conditions shift. Our materials are reviewed and updated before each new cohort year โ particularly the Tax-Aware Financial Organisation program.
A calm learning environment
Financial topics can carry anxiety. We design our space โ physical and interpersonal โ to feel calm and unhurried. There is no sales pressure, no competitive atmosphere, and no expectation of prior knowledge.
